Dr. Wall believes that each individual is unique, their own expert of their own life, and worthy of a highly individualized treatment plan. She develops those plans in collaboration with each patient to ensure that the pieces fit the life that the patient wants to live. She tends to pull techniques from a toolbox that has been built from studies and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Humanistic Theory, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Spirituality Based Theory, Trauma Informed Therapy, Written Exposure Therapy, and specific components of the Gottman Method. The goal is always to work with a modality, or combination of modalities, that works best for each individual, and the possibilities are ENDLESS!!
Dr. Wall believes that we are all very complex creatures, so she works with each person as an individual, and everything she does is done with intention - even if it doesn’t seem like it in the moment. Together, you will dive into identifying all the beautiful little things that make you tick - your values, beliefs, practices, boundaries, personality types, culture, history, psychological health, physical health, all those components that add up to make one whole wonderful person, and THEN you get to do all the fun stuff - pin-pointing where you're getting stuck, exploring why you're getting stuck, and piecing all of those little aspects of you together in an organized way so that you can accomplish all of your goals, be your favorite you, and overcome any obstacle that life puts in your way.

Psychological Evaluation
-
Psychological Testing, also referred to as Psychological Evaluation or Psychological Assessment, can give individuals several answers regarding their psychological functioning.
Several times, other providers who aren’t sure about a diagnosis will refer their patients for Psychological Testing to get a solid, research backed, and data confirmed diagnosis that they can then work with much more efficiently. School districts also require Psychological Testing, most of the time, for development of IEPs (Individualized Educational Plans).
Testing takes place over 3-6 visits.
The first visit is a free 15 minute phone conversation to determine need for further testing.
After that, there will be a 1 hour session (can be virtual) that includes the Clinical Interview. When doing testing with children, there will be an additional hour for Clinical Interview for the parents.
After the interviews are completed, testing is scheduled for a block of time ranging anywhere from 2-8 hours depending on how much needs to be done. The testing block CAN be broken up into 2-3 days depending on situation and circumstance. This portion of the evaluation absolutely needs to be completed in person.
If necessary, Dr. Wall will request signatures on a Release of Information to gather collateral information from individuals such as parents, spouses, roommates, or teachers.
Once testing is completed, and collateral information is gathered, Dr. Wall will then begin the process of scoring each assessment, analyzing the results, interpreting what that will look like in real life, developing individualized recommendations, and writing up the report. This process can take a considerable amount of time, often multiple weeks.
Once the report is finished, Dr. Wall will contact you to schedule a feedback session, which can be virtual, where the results and recommendations are discussed in further detail, and you have the option to ask any questions that may arise.
